ADJECTIVES

Adjective: a word that describes a noun or pronoun.
"Big,""purple,""quick,""obvious," and "silvery" are adjectives.

amaze verb [T] - to cause (someone) to be extremely surprised.
amazing adjective
It´s pretty amazing how much top athletes get paid.

remarkable adjetive approving - unusual and surprising.
He´s a remarkable young man.

impress verb [T] - cause (someone)to feel admiration or respect.
impressive adjective
an impressive performance.

far-fetched adjective - difficult to believe and unlikely to be true.
Her story about being chased away from school by wolves seems pretty far-fetched.

gripping adjective - interesting or exciting.
a gripping story.

horrible adjective - vary bad, unpleasant, or disgusting.
There was a horrible smell outside the factory.

funny (AMUSING) adjective [-er/-est only] - amusing; causing laughter Jerome is so funny.
She told me the funniest joke.

terrible adjetive - very unpleasant or serious or bad.
I saw terrible things happen.
My mother was a terrible cook.

emotional adjective - connected with or showing feelings.
I´m pretty emotional about crime, bacause I´ve been a victim.

fantastic (GOOD) adjective - very good.
You look fantastic in that outfit.
fantastic (NOT REAL) adjective - strange and imaginary.
He drew fantastic animals with two heads and large wings.

extraodinary adjective - very unusual and special; different in type or greater than the usual or ordinary.
Being chairman gave him an extraordinary sense of power.
She was an extraordinary woman, and no one will ever forget her.

spetacular adjective - exciting and interesting because of being large or extreme.
a spetacular sunset.
The scenary is spetacular.
He scored a spetacular touthdown.
