Study Tip - Negative prefixes

-> Record in groups those words that start with the same negative prefix:
e.g.
(verbs) misbehave, misinform, mislay
(adjetives) misguided, misnamed


-> Remember that certain prefixes occur before certain spellings:
e.g.
il-(illogical, illiterate) - usually before a word beginning with I
im-(impersonal, immature) - usually before a word beginning with m or p
ir-(irrational, irreparable) - usually before a word beginning with r
