Hollywood producers love South Pasadena. The city is close to Los Angeles and its streets offer an idyllic image of life in small-town America. But South Pasadena has also been used for horror movies such as Halloween (a cult series which began in 1978). The house (where Michael Myers returned after being released from a mental hospital) originally stood at 707 Meridian Avenue. Today it is located at 1000 Mission Street.
