Remember that present tenses are not only limited to talking about the present, they are also used:
- to make the past seem less remote and more dramatic.
Ex: So, Yesterday I´m sitting in the office, finishing off a few letters, when in comes Suzan!
- to make the future more difinite:
Ex: We´re flying to Rio next Friday.The plane takes off at 7 a.m.
