Perfume os a mixture of fragrant essencial oils and aroma compounds, fixatives, and solvents used to give the human body, animals, objects, and living spaces a pleasant scent. The odoriferous compounds that make up a perfume can be extracted from plant or animal sources.
In ancient times people used herbs and spices, as well as flowers, to make perfumes. Modern perfumery began in the late 19th century with the commercial synthesis o aroma compounds, which allowed using different fragrances in the composition of perfumes.
Here are some common oils which inspire perfume designers: violet, vanilla, lily, tobacco, gardenia, bamboo, lavender, jasmine, cinnamon.
